Good morning, AI enthusiasts. Fewer than a thousand people in the world know how to shape a frontier model from scratch. They work inside big labs, on proprietary systems. Adaption just built a tool that does their job automatically.
AutoScientist runs the full training loop on its own and outperforms those researchers 64% of the time. It's free for 30 days. That door used to be closed to everyone outside the frontier. Today it isn't.
In today's recap:
Adaption's AutoScientist automates the AI research loop
Figure AI's robots work an 8-hour autonomous shift
Automate Notion from your terminal with the Notion CLI
Anthropic brings Claude to small business owners
3 new AI tools, prompts, and more
ADAPTION
AutoScientist automates the full AI research loop
Recaply: Adaption just introduced AutoScientist, an AI system that runs the full model training loop on its own. It beat human AI researchers in 64% of head-to-head runs, up from 48% when a human set the config.
Key details:
AutoScientist picks your data and training settings at the same time, then keeps adjusting both until the model hits the goal you set. No ML engineer needed to run the process.
It ran tests across 8 domains with dataset sizes from 5K to 100K samples. It beat human-configured training by an average of 35% across all runs.
Most fine-tuning attempts fail outside of big AI labs. The common reasons are forgetting past knowledge, fitting too tightly to small datasets, and mixed-up training signals.
AutoScientist is free for the next 30 days. Adaption hasn't announced what it will cost after that.
Why it matters: Training a model used to require a research team. Now it needs a goal and a dataset. AutoScientist handles the rest. That removes the biggest wall between builders and custom AI. You don't need to know how fine-tuning works to use it. Thirty days free is enough time to find out if it solves your actual problem. The 35% gain over human researchers is the number people will share, but access is the real story here.

FIGURE AI
Figure AI runs Its first fully autonomous 8-hour shift
Recaply: Figure AI just livestreamed its Figure 03 robots completing a full 8-hour autonomous work shift, with one robot appearing to daydream about riding a motorbike, a clip that racked up over 3,000 Reddit upvotes.
Key details:
The robots sorted and handled packages for 8 hours with no human stepping in. They worked with both hands at once and recovered when they got stuck mid-task.
The "strange moment" clip drew 3,064 upvotes on Reddit. One top comment earning 999 points joked the robot "had an intrusive thought about what freedom might feel like."
Viewers noted the robots made some mistakes on box sorting but kept going. One observer said Figure 03 seemed "much smarter at figuring out how to keep it going when stuck."
This was a live public demo on YouTube. Figure AI hasn't set a commercial launch date but is targeting industrial warehouse work.
Why it matters: A five-minute demo shows capability. An eight-hour shift shows endurance. That's a different kind of proof, and it's harder to fake. The "daydream" moment turned a robot demo into something people wanted to share, and that kind of attention matters. Public curiosity and public trust are both things Figure AI needs as it moves toward selling these robots to real warehouses. It got both in one stream.
GUIDES
Automate Notion from your terminal with the Notion CLI

Recaply: In this tutorial, you will learn how to install and use the Notion CLI (ntn) to read, write, and automate your Notion workspace from the command line, without touching the GUI.
Step-by-step:
Install the Notion CLI with
curl -fsSL https://ntn.dev | bash, then runntn --versionto confirm it works. Go to Notion Settings → My connections → Personal access tokens and create a new token.Run
ntn loginto authenticate. This opens a browser window where you grant access to your workspace. Your credentials are saved in your system keychain. Runntn api GET /databasesto confirm the connection is live.Query any Notion database from your terminal with
ntn api GET /databases/{id}/query, where the ID comes from the database page URL. Pipe the output tojqto filter entries by status, date, or any property.Write a Worker to sync data into Notion on a schedule. Put your logic in a TypeScript file, then run
ntn workers deployto push it to Notion's servers. No separate hosting is needed.Add a webhook trigger so your Worker fires when data changes outside Notion. Connect it to a GitHub Actions workflow, Zapier, or a cron schedule to keep Notion in sync without running commands by hand.
Pro tip: Claude Code can use ntn as a CLI tool to read and update Notion pages as it works. Add ntn commands to your Claude Code session so your coding agent can log results, create project docs, or update task trackers automatically.

ANTHROPIC
Anthropic brings Claude inside small business tools
Recaply: Anthropic just launched Claude for Small Business, a set of 15 ready-to-run workflows that put Claude inside tools like QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, and Canva for small business owners.
Key details:
It works as a toggle install inside Claude Cowork. Connect your tools, pick a job, and Claude handles it. Owners review and approve before anything sends or pays.
The product ships with 15 agentic workflows and 15 skills. Small businesses make up 44% of U.S. GDP but have been slower to adopt AI than big companies.
Daniela Amodei said the goal is to take on "late-night work," like planning payroll and chasing invoices, so business owners don't have to do it themselves.
It's live now on Claude Cowork with connectors for 7 tools: QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.
Why it matters: Anthropic has spent years building for researchers and developers. This is its first move aimed at regular business owners. The setup takes a toggle, not an IT team. The workflows cover the jobs that pile up after hours: payroll, invoicing, marketing, bookkeeping. If it works, Anthropic gets a customer base that OpenAI hasn't focused on yet. That's a big bet on a very different kind of user.
